I was born in Palmer, Alaska, about an hour north of Anchorage, where my family owned a small farm close to the Knik River, a few miles from “The Butte” in the (semi-)famous Matanuska Valley, home to world class cabbage and potatoes. My grandparents were dairy farmers from Wisconsin who moved to the area in 1935 as homesteaders, part of a Depression era land grant program to incentivize folks in the lower 48 to head north and find new beginnings. Growing up on a farm, I learned very early in life the basic values of starting early each day, planning and prioritizing the day to make the most of it, doing what I say I am going to do, and making every effort to finish the job before calling it a day.

The work ethic my parents and grandparents taught me has served me well in my real estate career. I began my career as a full time Realtor in Anchorage 35 years ago, in 1983, and for the past 20 or so years have consistently been one of the top producing real estate professionals in Anchorage, in the top 1 percent of local real estate agents in all price ranges, measured by the number of housing units sold annually; on average my team and I sell about 12 homes per month. I am a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and have completed specific classes to better assist buyers and sellers. Additionally, we are a preferred broker for transferring ConocoPhillips, BP, and Halliburton people and have helped many move both into and out of Anchorage. You can see by our resume that we are able to accommodate both buyers and sellers who need to get things done – and done right!

I am married to Kristi and have three children: my daughter, Corene, who lives in State College, Pennsylvania, with her husband and kids; my son, Ryan, who lives and works in NYC; and our youngest son, Cody, who recently graduated a gap year in Bible school and now is in his first year learning diesel mechanics at United Technical School (UTI) in Avondale, Arizona.

In addition to working hard, I believe it’s important to play; I have a wide range of hobbies, including skeet shooting, downhill skiing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and photography. I am a reader of both fiction and non-fiction, and I start almost every day with a bike ride (traditional mountain biking in the summer, fat tire biking in the winter).

I look forward to meeting you and helping you however we can. Expect exceptional service!
