 March – Empty Bowl Project

This event is an annual fundraiser to help fight hunger.  Area crafters create hand crafted pottery bowls.  These bowls are available for purchase and bidding.  Once you have selected your bowl, fill it with one of the many soups that the community has made for the event.

June – Summer Solstice Festival and Hero Games
Celebrate the longest day of the year in the Town Square.  There are live musical performances, chain saw art, and food.  The Hero Games include a friendly competition between area police, military branches, troopers and fire fighters.  Enjoy the fun and stay until the sun goes down.

Late August and Early September – Alaska State Fair
Each year for the last 77 years, the Alaska State Fair has been an event not to be missed.  The fair centers on the things the original colonists started with.  There is food, friends and family, music and fun for everyone.

November – Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium
This event is Anchorage’s showcase for Alaskan artisans and crafters. You will find handmade original crafts and artwork of every type, just in time for Christmas decorating and gifting.
